The Temple of Poseidon is a case of â€Å"Doric† segments, and Athens is a case of â€Å"Ionic† sections. The Greeks generally worked with either mud, wood, mortar, as well as stone. These have had the option to withstand the harm that time brings. The Roman engineering utilized generally curves in their works. Which held more weight than the sections. Indeed they utilized sections however just as embellishment due to the weight. The Pantheon in Rome is an extraordinary case of this design. This structure housed two rulers and is one of the greatest enduring structure in Rome. Romans utilized indistinguishable materials from the Greeks particularly the Marble and Limestone. Be that as it may, they consummated the utilization of solid, which is the thing that the vast majority of their structures are made with. In outline, Greek engineering is increasingly rectilinear and of â€Å"post and lintel† development. Greek structures normally rectilinear, comprised off pediment upheld by segments on a plinth for a base. Romans aced the curve and the vault. Concrete made it conceivable to have increasingly complex structures. Sections were utilized in both with the Greek preferring the Doric and Ionic for the cleaner lines. Life Experiences to Remember

As the adage goes, the best things in life are not things. It is especially true in modern life when people have material comforts their grandfathers couldn’t even imagine, yet a nagging feeling that ‘something isn’t enough’ persists. To quench it, it’s no use to stock on more and more things – the wise decision is to collect life experiences. For instance, consider this: is working all year round to save up for buying a yacht when you reach 60 worth missing a rafting trip with your friends this summer? I guess I’ve been lucky after all because instead of giving me cool toys or other kids’ stuff to celebrate good performance at school my parents took me travelling. Thus I’ve got into a habit of changing perspective after a period of routine. Whether I make a sally to a nearby town or voyage overseas, I always come back refreshed. Any journey is rich in impressions and unique experiences, adding the zest you want to your life. It stands to reason that tastes differ, and for many people getting a unique experience means no less than exploring underwater caves in exotic locations, or sky-diving, or taking part in a carnival, or a shopping spree in Paris and Milan. As for me, I’ve found that mountains are my number one place of power. As I’m not much of an adrenaline addict I prefer hiking, for it is both an opportunity to savour natural beauty and a bit of a challenge to myself. If it’s a bit of a rocky road, the impressions get printed on my mind more vividly. I remember my first hike and an unbelievably chilly night on the lakeside when we had to keep the campfire burning till dawn just to get warm – and that wakeful night we got to admire the star-studded sky, the Milky Way and shooting stars. A totally thrilling experience. Not only do mountains appeal to the eye with their magnificent scenery; meeting people on your way can be an uplifting, heart-warming experience, too. This stands true both for hikers and locals in highland villages – those who I happened to encounter were generally pleasant and ready to see me through in case I had trouble with equipment or took a wrong road. My companions and I nearly wandered off into wilderness once were it not for a shepherd who cared to follow us (he was actually nearly running across rough terrain to catch up) and show the right way. He then kept us company for a while, telling all kinds of stories and mentioning all the nearby sights worth seeing. Thanks to him not only did we reach that day’s destination but also visited the places he talked about – and they were well worth it. Some people who I told about it all were quite skeptical: to them it’s ‘so what?’ Well, of course tastes differ. What I deeply enjoy about mountain trips is that somehow the perception becomes more acute and sensitive – the smells, the colours and the textures are as if enhanced, and I see the positive things about everything that’s happening on the way more clearly. Simple pleasures, which seem nothing more than a tired ‘magical formula’ from self-help articles when you’re in the treadmill, stand out in their actual meaning. Indeed, it’s not hi-end gadgets or designer jewelry collection that will keep you warm during a rainy spell on a hike – it’s a sturdy tent, a patch of sure footing and your friends, the dinner you cook together and the anecdotes you share by the fire. At least I’m the type of person for whom it’s essential to have kindred spirits around to fully relish the pleasant experienc es. Again, tastes differ, of course, but for me every new trip to the mountains turns into a new unique experience in its own right.

Example of Molar Mass Calculation

You can calculate the molar mass or the mass of one mole of an element or molecule if you know the formula for the substance and have a periodic table or table of atomic masses. Here are some worked examples of the molar mass calculation. How to Calculate Molar Mass The molar mass is the mass of one mole of a sample. To find the molar mass, add the atomic masses (atomic weights) of all of the atoms in the molecule. Find the atomic mass for each element by using the mass given in the Periodic Table or table of atomic weights. Multiply the subscript (number of atoms) times the atomic mass of that element and add the masses of all of the elements in the molecule to get the molecular mass. Molar mass usually is expressed in grams (g) or kilograms (kg). Molar Mass of an Element The molar mass of sodium metal is the mass of one mole of Na. You can look up that answer from the table: 22.99 g. You may be wondering why the molar mass of sodium isnt just twice its atomic number, the sum of the protons and neutrons in the atom, which would be 22. This is because the atomic weights given in the periodic table are an average of the weights of the isotopes of an element. Basically, the number of protons and neutrons in an element may not be the same. The molar mass of oxygen is the mass of one mole of oxygen. Oxygen forms a divalent molecule, so this is the mass of one mole of O2. When you look up the atomic weight of oxygen, you find it is 16.00 g. Therefore, the molar mass of oxygen is: 2 x 16.00 g 32.00 g Molar Mass of a Molecule Apply the same principles to calculate the molar mass of a molecule. The molar mass of water is the mass of one mole of H2O. Add together the atomic masses of all of the atoms of hydrogen and water in a molecule of water: 2 x 1.008 g (hydrogen) 1 x 16.00 g (oxygen) 18.02 g For more practice, download or print these molar mass worksheets: Formula or Molar Mass Worksheet (pdf)Formula or Molas Mass Worksheet Answers (pdf)

Poverty, By John Kenneth Galbraith - 1775 Words

Poverty is a huge issue which never seems to ever go away or be fixed. There are many options as to what can be done to eliminate poverty but, not all options please everyone. John Kenneth Galbraith in his essay â€Å"The Position of Poverty† argues that â€Å"to eliminate poverty, we must invest more than proportionately in the children of the poor community (Jacobus). Money has been a very important tool that has divided the world and given humans labels as wealthy or poor. The wealthy seem to have worked hard for what they have but others not so much. Poverty has been growing and it has been spreading across the world. Those people who are poor sometimes have no chance to exit the poverty that have been in because of very little supplies or just not a great community or environment, some with very little food and they just give up and never keep trying to exit this moment in their lives. The rich must make an effort to try and redistribute the money in our nation to elimi nate poverty for good. There has always been a gap between the incomes of all people. Since the 1920’s we haven’t had that much of gap up until now of course. America has more wealth and more income inequality than any other major developed country on earth, and the gap between the very rich and everyone else is wider than it has been at any time since the 1920s (Sanders). IT Priorities IVK for Effective Project Management- myassignmenthelp

Question: Discuss about theIT Priorities IVK for Effective Project Management. Answer: Slush fund slack had been created by the previous CIO Davies just in case when the very vital projects at IVK could not be approved. The slush funds had been developed at IVK in order to get the IT project funds approved. The IT projects were not considered to be the primary functions rather they were just the supporting functions which faced trouble to get budgetary approvals from the department. To get budget approval for the IT projects that were very technical and did not deliver direct customer benefits were really tough to get approved in IVK. Moreover the IT projects were supposed to be very technical and the other departments were simply unable to understand, rather in some cases the approach that the company IVK adopted for funding the IT projects was that of preventive maintenance. This is the reason why Davies created slush funds to get these security related risks handled effectively (Wysocki, 2010). Davies being a technical person knew very well the kind of security risks might generate if the IT projects do not get implemented. He realised the importance and gravity of neglecting of IT projects in IVK that is why he thought of this idea of creating slush fund slack to get budgetary approval for the IT projects. During the IT project approval in which Barton made fun when he started criticising the way the project was presented Davies simply returned back in his shell during conflicts. This indicates that Davies, not being the one ready to take sole responsibility, will result in noose around everyones neck as everyone would get involved while decision making for the IT projects (Austin, Nolan, O'Donnell, 2016). The approach adopted by Davies was typically IT-based approach and not a management based approach. The approach adopted by Davies was technology oriented as he along with John both believed that there exists a security issue with the technology that was being used by Peoples. He believed that if there is any security risk that must be handled by receiving funds from IVK. But his approach being too much IT related which was simply did not go very well with other business units. He laid more emphasis on the security risks that might arise in totally IT language. Thus the way of communication of the security risks adopted by Davies did not clarify or show what adverse impact the security risks that are generated in IVK can have on the company as well as the customers. Thus the approach adopted by Barton that the IT spending needs to be in proper alignment with the IVK strategy and dividing the IT projects on the following basis is a better approach. The projects will be divided into categories like: Mandatory (for example security) Return on Investment (for example incremental) OCI (option creating investment). Barton has adopted a consensus approach according to which IT is important aspect that assists the process implementation and the business units are the ones who decide the priorities. The approach followed by Barton does not suggest that it should take full control over the IT budget rather it believes in putting forth the IT point of view along with the business point of view. By adopting this approach all necks will be in the noose and in case any decision goes wrong everyone who is part of decision can be blamed and held responsible (Austin, Nolan, O'Donnell, 2016). Barton needs to act smart and should not take the entire budgetary control in his hands as suggested by Maggie as well as it will make him responsible for anything that goes wrong in the company. He should come up with a brilliant idea of getting fixed the whole decision making committee which should also engage the Board of Directors. Rather he should try to create a completely new IT budgeting process by proposing certain percentage of the total budget that needs to be allocated to the IT projects that belong to the mandatory category (Wysocki, 2010). The IT committee that he needs to propose should be of board level because demanding certain percentage of budget to be taken into control of IT is not a good idea. In this case again if anything goes wrong then only Barton will be held responsible because the noose would be around his neck only, being the sole person to make budgetary decisions. What he needs to do is support the formation of an IT Security Project which should empha size on the critical factors as well as the benefits that it will draw. IT Committee with board involvement will help in promoting the say of IT within the business units which will in turn help the organization also. Thus the risks associated with IT infrastructure will be decreased and will also make decision making simple and easy (Austin, Nolan, O'Donnell, 2016). Population inflation Essay Example

Population inflation Essay Population inflation has become a constant problem and a developing conflict for all the nations in the world especially those with such little total land gross area. Urbanization and Population growth seems to coincide because both of it has become growing concerns of the world today. Though Urbanization has the more positive side of it, there are still some who oppose this ideology. Regarding population growth, it has become one aspect of the global community that indicates such a threatening reality. The people are multiplying by the minute but the resources that keep the people alive has become more scarce through the years. The scarcity of resources to satisfy population has become blatantly damaging. The growth rate around the world is increasing every year and as seen in the worlds most populous countries such as China, India, USA, the population has been inflating due to birth and fertility rate. Answering to the problems caused by overpopulation, urbanization solutions has become one arguably reliable remedy. There are four examples of cases where a positive output was produced and was recognized in the 1996 Dubai Awards. These are the Institutionalizing of Community-Based Development in Abidjan, another was the action by the Self-Employed Womens Association (SEWA) Bank, another was the City Management in Tilburg ranging from the past, present and the future, these are samples of overcoming the challenges of population and urbanization. Urbanization can produce both negative and positive effects on communities, depending on how the leaders of these communities take advantage of it. Muddy Waters Essays - Mississippi Blues Trail, Muddy Waters, Blues

Muddy Waters Essays - Mississippi Blues Trail, Muddy Waters, Blues Muddy Waters Muddy Waters Blues as an art form gave Blacks a medium to manifest their feelings. Feelings ranging from humorous to silly to depressed. Fortunately for a entire genre of music, the only way for Mckinley Morganfield to express himself was through song. Morganfield better known as Muddy Waters became a legendary blues vocalist /guitarist. When the Blues industry saw commercial success many of its artists also saw rising fame. Muddy Waters enjoyed success in the industry up until and even after his death in 1983. Morganfield was born April 4, 1915 to Ollie Morganfield and Bertha Jones. He was born in Rollingfork, Mississippi. Near their two room shack in Rollingfork there was a creek, Deer Creek. As a youngster he used to play in the creek and get all dirty and muddy. It was at this point when his sisters gave him the nickname Muddy Waters. Bertha died when he was about three. After her death he had to move in with his grandmother in Clarksdale. Raised in Clarksdale, he also went to school there. He went to school until he was old enough to work in the fields. Much like all of the other field laborers Muddy Waters hollered in the fields to pass time or just to get things off of your chest. Waters would also teach himself to play instruments. When he was fifteen he knew how to play the harmonica and he would later teach himself the guitar. The young Waters followed in his fathers musician footsteps. He was part of a band at fifteen, with Scott Bowhandle on guitar and Sonny Simms playing the violin. They would play some Saturday nights in downtown Clarksdale and others he would sell fried fish on nights. And other nights he would watch the greats like Son House, Robert Johnson and Charlie Patton were great musical influences on Waters. The main influence on Waters was Son House, although Waters style of play was more similar to that of Robert Johnson. Muddy Waters was first recognized by word of mouth. Alan Lomax of The Library of Congress went to Clarksdale to record Robert Johnson. But to his dismay, he found out that Robert Johnson was dead and had been for two years. The word on the street at that time led Lomax to Muddy Waters. Waters would record two songs with them in 1941, far before he became famous. His name would not reach household status until 1947 when he recorded his first hit single, I cant be satisfied. Muddy Waters style of blues was considered rough and uncompromising. It was different from all of the other too polished for the South musicians. Waters didnt have a sing-song voice, but a deep raspy voice. Success was steadily increasing especially since the addition of band members. The band complimented his sound. Jimmy Rogers was on the guitar, and harmonica specialist Little Walter. The band provided superb sounds while the grand ole man played his guitar and sang. Although I listened to more than two selections there were two that stood out in my mind; The Hoochie Coochie Man and Corine Corina. Waters proclaims his arrival and his presence as the hoochie coochie man. He wants to let the world know that he is here. Over a consistent baseline, he begins each verse with a whisper and concluding each verse with a shout almost. Adding to the effect that says his coming and know he is here. The next song Corine Corina is fast paced and upbeat. In an almost pleading voice he asks Corina why she does not love him. He leaves Corina by the end of the song. This record has a blend of saxophones, a base and a bridge with a harmonica. Neither of these songs carry the typical thoughts of what a Blues song should like. The most astonishing aspect of the blues is that, through replete with a sense of defeat and downheartedness, they are not intrinsically pessimistic; their burden of woe and melancholy is dialectically redeemed through sheer force of sensuality into an almost exultant affirmation of life, of love, of sex, of movement, of hope. No matter how repressive was the American environment, the Negro never lost faith in of doubted his deeply endemic capacity to live. All blues are a lusty, lyrical realism charged with taut sensibility. Ill never understand why most people define the blues as an expression of sadness only. -Richard Wright, definition of blues Muddy Waters is a legend. Not

Inequality Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words - 4

Inequality - Essay Example parison because it takes into consideration the income factor which plays a significant role in dictating the wealth levels of the individual persons. Inequality is interconnected with social class, gender, and ethnicity. For instance, social classes define the person’s opportunities and financial position. This discriminates against people who are in lower classes. In addition, gender is used to deny some people opportunities, an aspect that increases the levels of inequality in the society. For instance, in some societies, people perceive women as weak, thereby not fit to hold high positions. This affects women’s ability to exploit their potential. Lastly, ethnic difference is another major aspect that has brought inequality in the society. Distribution of resources and opportunities are sometimes done based on this element. For instance, people of African origin and Asians find it hard to secure an employment position because of their ethnic background. This increases inequality levels in the society. Inequality is manifested through opportunities and outcomes. People who are poor in the society lack access to critical resources. For instance, they cannot be able to take their school to good schools and healthcare centers. Lack of education by these people’s children makes it hard for them to secure a descent work (Neckerman & Project Muse 2006). This constrains the families’ opportunities to earn a decent source of living. Affording good houses, food, and other basic needs becomes a challenge to these families. Social inequalities are not natural because they can be tackled by administration through equal distribution of resources to all people in the society and supporting the less fortunate. This form of inequality is caused by starting points. For instance, children who are born in family with wealth and assets are likely to gain access to tools of making wealth (Olyan 2011). However, those who are born in less fortunate families find it hard to

The age of 15 to 25 years is generally known as the age of young adults and this age is the most progressive age of any person. The people having high self-esteem face the challenges of life confidently whereas the people with a low level of self-esteem are not able to progress in life in an appropriate manner. Low self-esteem can lead the way towards various problems such as depression, hopelessness, despair, and antisocial behaviors. Amaechi (2007) asserts, â€Å"Low Self Esteem will make you act indifferently, negatively to the various events that occur in your life†. Some of the factors, which cause low self-esteem in a young adult, include parents’ expectations, social status, parents’ care, decision-making power, unemployment, disability, and educational performance. The pit Bull dogs are observed to be wounded by fighting and were found to be half-starved. They were not taken care as was observed by their health and apparent condition. Vick was also accused of burying Pit Bulls on his property that lost their lives due to extremely violent fighting wounds. The example of Vick’s cruelty is evident in explaining how dogs are misused and misguided to perform cruel acts. It is obviously not the dog’s will to fight and get those serious wounds but for the entertainment and pleasure of the owner, the dogs are tamed to do such vicious acts. It should be noted that 47 Pit Bulls were saved from Vick’s property and 45 of them were rehabilitated effectively. One of the remaining 2 was euthanized for health risking factors and the other because of

The Insecurity of Shakespeares Macbeth :: GCSE English Literature Coursework

The Insecurity of Macbeth  Ã‚   Macbeth, the main character in William Shakespeare's tragedy, Macbeth was not secure in his manhood.   This insecurity led to the downfall of Macbeth because he felt the need to prove himself to Lady Macbeth. After he proved himself by killing Duncan, Macbeth became desensitized to killing. In the beginning of the play Macbeth showed his love for Lady Macbeth in many different ways. He told her his feelings toward her "My dearest love" (act I, scene v, l 58). Macbeth listens to what Lady Macbeth has to say, and takes her advice into consideration every time he makes a decision. He also has great love for her and tries his best to make her happy no matter what it takes.   Lady Macbeth convinced Macbeth that he wasn't a man unless he went through with the murder of Duncan. She threatens his manhood by saying When you durst do it, then you were a man;/ And to be more than what you were, you would/ Be so much more the man (act I, scene vii, l 49-51). Slowly Lady Macbeth manipulated his mind to think the right thing to do was kill Duncan. Macbeth had decided in order to prove his manhood he must go through with this horrible act. After Macbeth had committed the crime he felt that his soul could never be cleansed no matter what he did. He said They pluck out mine own eyes!/Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood/Clean from my hand? No; this my hand will rather/The Multitudinous seas incarnadine, /Making the green one red (act II, scene iii, l 58-62). This shows that he really didn't want to kill Duncan, but he did it in order to prove himself to Lady Macbeth, and to become the king. By the end he had no fear, and had killed not only Duncan but also many other people. He now had different views from which he had in the beginning of the play. Macbeth realizes that he is no longer afraid "no, nor more fearful. (Act V, scene vii, l 9). He is now considered a man, but he doesn't like the fact that he has killed all these people.

Digital Espionage

Attacks on sites had been a common occurence ever since the boom of the Internet market, and it is only usual for people to get into the business themselves either legally or ilegally. Since the occurence of these attacks anti-virus companies had been built, adding yet another business into the market. But the level of attacks had been vastly improving, and one example is what happened on Google, one of the world’s leading search engine. On January 12, 2010, Google announced on its blog that it had been attacked. It was said to have occured from mid last year and finished last December.Google stated that over 20 other companies including Adobe and Microsoft, had also been victims. On that same day, US Secretary Hilary Clinton publicly asked for an explanation from the Chinese government. Google became aware of the attack themselves, through their inside sources. According to Newsweek, at the time, they contacted Rafal Rohozinski, CEO of The SecDev Group (a global security and research firm) because the attack was very similar to GhostNet (a large scale cyber spying event last March 2009) and they wanted to know what they could share that might be helpful to their in-house investigation. The attack seems to be emanating from the jurisdiction of China. Google said that the hackers were interested in accessing the Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists. According to the Financial Times, a person named Ai Weiwei had his two accounts hacked, their contents read and copied. On the others, however, they were only able to view limited details such as the subject line and the creation date of the account. It was said that the attack started when an employee in China click on an infected linked, which was sent through an instant message. The attacker was able to access the person’s computer, and eventually Google’s headquarters in California. It also accessed Google’s Moma, an intenal directory that stores information on each of the em ployees work task. Carlos Carillo, principal consultant of Mandiant (security incident response and forensics firm) was also called in by Google. He said that it was â€Å"definitely one of the most sophisticated attacks I've seen in the last few years†¦ This wasn't something that a 16-year-old came up in his spare time.† He said that they’ve seen similar attacks like this on the government, but never on the commercial space. The level of the attack had certainly been done by a group of experts. Last January 14, 2010, McAfee reported that the attackers had exploited zero-day vulnerabilities and called the attack â€Å"Operation Aurora†. They exploited a hole in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer even if their DEP (Data Execution Prevention) was turned on. The vulnerability affects Internet Explorer versions 6, 7, and 8 on Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP, Server 2003, Server 2008 R2, as well as IE 6 Service Pack 1 on Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.It would be ve ry hard to exploit the flaw on Windows Vista or Windows 7, however, because of its advanced memory protection technology. Zero-day vulnerabilities are those flaws that are unknown to the developer. When the attacker discovers the vulnerability before the developer does, it can prove to be very dangerous. The attacker can either use the vulnerability to copy the information and make a similar program and then sell it to the market, or he can use the vulnerability to directly destroy the program of the developer. As with Google, analysts said that â€Å"China is likely using its maturing computer network exploitation capability to support intelligence collection against the U. S. government and industry by conducting a long term, sophisticated computer network exploitation campaign. † At least 10 to 20 terabytes of data had been taken from Google and other companies. Days after the attack, the exploit had been opened to the public, which are now dangerous to the internet communi ty. Paul Ducklin, Head of Technology (Asia Pacific) from Sophos Lab(developer and vendor of security software and hardware), explained how the exploit on Google was done. The Aurora explot relies on a used-after free bug. The exploit uses java script to control over the browser as it crashes. The exploit has all the usual javascript tricks: heap spray (technique used to facilitate arbitary code execution) and nop sleds (No Operation Execution, meaning to â€Å"slide† the instruction on its final destination) . At the end of the nop sled is the shellcode, (the actual malicious binary code that the hacker wants to execute) and a coming bid which uses javascript events that tricks the browser into misusing memory in the first place. He went to a test server wherein he edited the shellcode, that contains debug breakpoints and he added some human readable text â€Å"WARHEAD† so that if the computer crashed he can visually confirm that it was into the computer’s shellco de. He tried it in IE 6, wherein he put it in the debug controller and only attaching debug to it (the reason for doing so is of course because of the debug breakpoints, so if the exploit actually works, he can track back into the debugger). Then he clicked on Internet Explorer and visited the malicious site. The exploit actually relies on fetching image files. It worked when he tried to see the address on the debugger, â€Å"WARHEAD† came out. Usually, a good anti-virus program can protect internet users from these kind of exploits. In order to fix the IE flaw, Microsoft stepped out of its normal monthly patch cycle to release a patch. The users of IE are now required to run Windows update and click on MS10-002 update to fix it. Meanwhile, Google announced that it would stop censoring its search results in China.David Drimmond, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Chief Legal Officer of Google said â€Å"Users visiting Google. cn are now being redirected to Googl e. com. hk, where we are offering uncensored search in simplified Chinese, specifically designed for users in mainland China and delivered via our servers in Hong Kong. † Censorship in China had been a rule to maintain the country’s communism. Censhorship prevents unapproved reformist, separatist, â€Å"counter-revolutionary† ideas from organizing themselves and spreading. It also prevents Chinese citizens from discovering or learning more about past and current failures of the Communist Party that could create or inflame anti-government sentiment. They had also intended on blocking foreign government websites to prevent the people from learning alternative systems of governance . What Google did was a risky step because China may stop doing business with Google altogether. And China, is one of the most sought-after market in the world today.Analysts expects China's search market to reach 10 billion yuan ($1.46 billion) this year. However, in 5 to 10 years, what G oogle did may prove to be advantageous for them. Ben Sargent, an analyst with Common Sense Advisory, a market research company said that â€Å"As a culture, China is much more long-term thinking than most other cultures. No other government takes such long-term views as the Chinese government,† Sargent said. â€Å"So Google is trying to out-Chinese the Chinese in terms of making a really long-term play for young people's hearts and minds in China. â€Å"Google had always been concerned on its position in China, but the country is too big of a market to ignore. As what Rohozinski have said, â€Å"Engagement is better than exclusion. † You can do a lot more for the people if you work from the inside than just standing around and watching. Google went in with their eyes wide open. Sergey Brin(founder of Google), who had been from the Soviet Union understood China on its political views. The cyber spying just gave them the opportunity to make their stand and make the wor ld praise them for it.

Gay Marriage Should Be Legal - 1792 Words

Jack Baker and Michael McConnell walked in the courthouse and payed 10$ and applied for marriage licenses, The clerk refused to give it to them, because he said to them that marriage was with a member of the opposite sex. When the clerk refused Baker, a law student, and McConnell, sued in state court, Baker mentioned the Minnesota statute and how it doesn t mention anything about gender, Baker didn t go down with a fight, he thought it was unconstitutional discrimination on the basis of sex. Baker likened the situation to interracial marriage, and that s when the Supreme Court was intertwined with the situation, since then the Supreme Court passed the ruling that allows gay marriage to be legal in all states.
